Sketches...new series

This is a new series of sketches for me.  I am still working on my flowers and will post them as I finish each one.  I am goingto try for a new record number of posts in a row.  I want to do  one a day and see if I can do a year.  These sketches will be of many subjects and done in lots of media.   Hope this works out and I can be more productive. 

Spring Flower Series #7

HERE IS NUMBER SEVEN..in my Spring Flower Series.  It is not a single plant from my garden, like the other six. It is a practice piece using different ways of painting in watercolor, than I usually use.  Not sure if I like the results.  The purple iris is the closest to the one that blooms in my garden and has since 1990.

Speedwell Post 6 in Spring Flower Series

This is my Speedwell bloom in my garden.  It is one of the roadside flowers that is seen in alot of states.  It has foliage that is like daylily foliage.  It doesn't have big blooms, but there is a series of blooms at the top of each stem.
