This picture was taken, by me, early in Spring of 2010, one of the last really cold nights. These look like snowflakes, but are frozen ice. The one in the middle is a 3D frozen flake! I like to try and catch unusually pretty pictures all year long, but the ones I took of the frozen flakes will probably be one of the all time favs.... I have taken hundreds of winter pictures of snow and ice. I thought I would break from the "me" drawn flakes and post a "nature" made one...note the six spokes in the middle of this flake, even tho only one of them developed to full length. That spoke is about 6 inches long..a big flake!
